Mega Projects Continue in Turkey

The President of the Republic of Turkey and the President of the Justice and Development Party Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan to give orders to accelerate and finish the works on the mega projects in Turkey.

Based on recent information about the third airport in Istanbul, the first phase of the airport has been completed and will be inaugurated in February 2018.

The second Istanbul Tunnel and the Istanbul Canal, which are currently under construction, will be completed by studying the land conditions in 2023.

The statement pointed out that the opening of the third metro line - the third bridge is in August next year, the investment value of this line will reach 4.5 billion Turkish liras, and will facilitate the transports, as it will enter into use next year.

The third Istanbul Tunnel project will connect the two European and Asian parts of the city, which will consist of three floors. The tunnel project will be integrated with 9 metro lines along with the E-5 and TEM highways. The project is scheduled to be completed within 5 years from now. Moreover, the metro under the tunnel will pass 14 stations in both of Asian and European parts.
